ZoomInfo acquires California-based AI firm

Vancouver-based ZoomInfo announced last week it acquired a business-to-business AI data company, which will give more depth to ZoomInfo’s database product.

EverString, based in  San Mateo, Calif., will add 100 million company records and 70 million professional profiles to ZoomInfo’s database. A “good number” of employees will also join ZoomInfo’s workforce, the company announced, but did not give further details, including the cost of the acquisition.

EverString is an artificial-intelligence-powered, business-to-business data company, according to a ZoomInfo news release. Its customers include Fedex, iHeartMedia, Staples, Snowflake, GroupOn, Nokia and Seagate.

“We believe that the infusion of new ideas and strong entrepreneurial mindset into our company drives our overall culture — fast paced, creative, delivery minded,” wrote ZoomInfo spokesman Rob Morse.

“EverString complements ZoomInfo’s already robust corporate hierarchy data by expanding its network of linkages between parent accounts, subsidiaries, locations, website redirects, legal entities, and aliases,” the company wrote in its news release.

ZoomInfo, which held its IPO in June, will have a third-quarter report on Monday. Its last report showed the company’s revenue and employee count growing 62 percent year-over-year to $110.9 million.
